96 new cases in Arunachal

ITANAGAR, Aug 12 - With the detection of 96 fresh COVID-19 cases in Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday, the total number of infections in the State rose to 2,327, stated a bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services.

Among these new cases, 86 are asymptomatic and 10 symptomatic. According to the bulletin, the number of discharged cases has touched 1,634 with the release of 42 COVID-19 patients.

The State currently has 690 active cases and three fatalities. Of the 96 new cases, Anjaw accounts for the maximum 27 cases, followed by Itanagar Capital Complex with 19 cases, West Siang with 16 cases and Lohit with 12 cases.

Papum Pare has reported eight cases, East Siang six and Changlang four. East Kameng and Lower Dibang Valley have reported two cases each.

Among the new cases, 61 are Central paramilitary force personnel. The 42 discharged cases included 13 from Itanagar Capital Complex, 10 from Changlang, four each from Lower Siang and East Kameng and three from Lower Subansiri.

Similarly, Tirap, Lower Dibang Valley and Papum Pare saw discharge of two patients each, while Namsai and East Siang saw discharge of one patient each.
