AIZAWL, Dec 9 - With nine more people testing positive for COVID-19, Mizoram�s virus tally today reached 3,977.
The nine new cases were detected after testing of 906 samples during the last 24 hours. While five cases were detected in the TrueNat laboratories of the district hospitals, four cases were confirmed through rapid antigen tests, an official release stated, adding that no new case was detected in the Zoram Medical College RT-PCR laboratory.
The State has now 199 active cases, while 3,772 people have already recovered from the disease. Mizoram has so far reported six COVID-19 fatalities.
As many as 1,59,750 samples have been tested in the State so far. The positivity rate of Mizoram stands at 2.49 per cent. � Correspondent
