9 crorepatis in new State Cabinet

NEW DELHI, May 25 - Sarbananda Sonowal�s Ministry has 82 per cent crorepati ministers, with newly inducted State Minister Naba Kumar Doley leading the pack of crorepati ministers, Assam Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms have reported.

The report stated that only Naba Kumar Doley of the BJP from Dhakuakhana constituency had declared criminal cases against himself. He is facing a charge related to giving false evidence, one charge related to fabricating false evidence and one charge related to false evidence in his sworn affidavit.

Out of the 11 Ministers, 9 (82 per cent) ministers are crorepatis. The average assets of the 11 Ministers are Rs 2.67 crore.

The ministers with the highest declared total assets include Naba Kumar Doley with assets worth Rs 7.30 crore. The top three Ministers with highest declared assets include Himanta Biswa Sarma (assets over Rs 6 crore) and Rihon Daimary (Rs 3 crore), besides Doley.

The minister with the lowest assets is Parimal Suklabaidya from Dholai constituency with assets worth Rs 37.92 lakh. The three Ministers with lowest declared assets include Pallab Lochan Das (Rs 54 lakh) and Keshab Mahanta (Rs 1 crore).

Altogether 9 ministers have declared liabilities, out of which the minister with the highest liabilities is Himanta Biswa Sarma with liabilities of Rs 2.14 crore. The other top two ministers with high liabilities are Naba Kumar Doley with liabilities calculated at over Rs 1 crore and Atul Bora of AGP (Rs 65 lakh).

Himanta Biswa Sarma, Rihon Daimary and Chandra Mohan Patowary are also among top three ministers with highest income in there ITR.
