84 in State take test for B Arch course

GUWAHATI, Sept 15 - The second test of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA) for admission into five-year B Arch degree programme for the academic year 2020- 2021 was held recently at three centres of the State: Guwahati, Dibrugarh and North Lakhimpur.

State representative to the COA Nilakshi Sarma said that altogether 43 students took the examination in the morning session out of 74 registered candidates, while in the evening session 41 students sat for the exam out of 77 registered.

In view of the pandemic, the test was conducted in two modes: centre-based and home-based. A mock test for home-based candidates was conducted on three days prior to the examination to facilitate and familiarise them with the procedures, software and hardware requirements so that they would not face any problem during the examination, a statement said.

Moreover, the centre-based test was conducted duly observing all protocol and SOPs mandated for the safety of candidates at the test centres.

Across the country, a total of 30,999 aspiring candidates enrolled for the second test and out of them 22,289 candidates appeared. The results of the examination will be declared on or before September 17.
