AIZAWL, Oct 6 - Eight more persons, including four security personnel, tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Mizoram, taking the State�s virus tally to 2,128 today.
Four among 364 samples tested at the Zoram Medical College RT-PCR laboratory, were confirmed positive, while out of 89 samples tested at the TrueNat laboratories of district hospitals, four new positive cases were detected, an official release stated. All 420 samples put to rapid antigen tests have been confirmed negative, the release added.
The four patients detected through tests at the Zoram Medical College include three Assam Rifles jawans and one BSF personnel. Mizoram now has 291 active COVID-19 cases, while 1,837 people have recovered from the disease so far, putting the recovery rate in the State at 86.33 per cent.
