SONARI, April 1 - Altogether eight persons, who visited Nizamuddin Tablighi Jamat recently, have been identified from Charaideo district. Out of these, six were from Bamunbari Gaon, Dholebagan of Mathurapur PS. Out of the other two, one is from Suffry Tea Estate and another from Suffry Water Tanki both fall under Sonari PS. So far, as per reports available, two persons were taken to Sivasagar Civil Hospital for quarantine. The whereabouts of other six persons are yet to be known.
The District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) set up at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Charaideo, which is working round-the-clock, failed to provide any information to mediapersons despite being asked. This has given indulgence to rumour mongers after the Nizamuddin incident and local people are now panic-stricken.
