75th anniversary of Azad Hind Fauj observed at Silchar

SILCHAR, Oct 22 - Along with the rest of the nation, the 75th anniversary of the Government of �free India� was observed here on Sunday.

The Netaji Subhash Foundation organised a function to mark the occasion in which veteran journalist and author Atin Das hoisted the flag. Santosh Kumar Dey, a frontline member of the Foundation administered the oath as members, including Nihar Ranjan Paul, the president of the Foundation, resolved to follow the ideals of Netaji.

In his address, Atin Das observed that had Netaji been alive today, India or Assam would not have faced problems like illegal migrantion from Bangladesh or even the partition of the country.
