GUWAHATI, June 27 - The 72nd foundation day of the All India Radio will be celebrated on July 1. Like every year, this year too, AIR Guwahati is planning a number of activities to celebrate the occasion in a befitting manner.
On the occasion, Meghmallar, a special musical programme will be held at the Shri Madhabdeb International Auditorium on the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra premises, Panjabari from 7 pm.
The programme, planned by centre director Dilip Kumar Das, will include presentation of borgeet, modern Assamese songs and meghmallar raag with a fusion of sarod and sitar.
The programme will be broadcast live through 101.6 FM and Vividh Bharati (100.8 FM). It will also be available on All India Radio Live app. On the occasion, a special morning programme is also being planned.
