NALBARI, May 17 - Altogether, 71 people, mostly labourers and patients returning from various states, have been quarantined at the Jawahar Navoday Vidyalaya (JNV) at Banekuchi village, besides two different hotels in Nalbari district.Official sources informed that 23 persons who visited other states for treatment were quarantined at two hotels, while the rest have been sent to the JNV quarantine facility. The health department conducted a check-up before sending them to the quarantine facility. In the meantime, the district administration is providing food to the inmates. Further, the Nalbari district administration has also kept the Nalbari MNC Balika Mahavidyalaya, Kumar Vaskar Barma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University, SIRD hostel,various schools and Madrassas with a total facility of 5,200 beds, ready.They have also identified 176 institutions to be converted into quarantine facilities, if the need arises, as more people from outside the state are returning every day.
