71 COVID-19 cases in Manipur

IMPHAL, May 31 - Manipur has reported nine new COVID-19 positive cases , taking the tally to 71, a State Health official said today. According to the official, 11 persons have been discharged from the hospital after their recovery. The information was shared by the state�s COVID-19 control room.

It is learnt that tests were conducted at the Regional Institute of medical sciences and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences in Imphal on Saturday night.

�Of the nine positive cases, three from Ukhrul district and rest were from Noney and Imphal East district,� a press release stated. The release claimed that all the persons are now stable and will be shifted to the COVID-19 care facility at Regional Institute of medical sciences and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences for further treatment.

On the other hand, four female patients - two each from RIMS and JNIMS COVID care facility were discharged after they were found COVID 19 negative after conducting two consecutive tests. Meanwhile, more than 14,000 stranded people have returned to the state.
