70th foundation day of AMC

GUWAHATI, Nov 16 - The Guwahati chapter of the Assam Medical College Alumni Association and Academic Forum will celebrate the 70th foundation day of the college on November 19 from 5 pm at Hotel Soolin here.

Dr Amrit Kumar Barooah, former principal of the Gauhati Medical College will deliver an oration in honour of former AMC principal Dr BN Banerjee.

A scientific session will be held on the theme �Care for the Elderly�, where a number of speakers will present short papers on iron deficiency, anaemia, heart burn, urinary tract infection, osteoporosis, dementia and thyroid disorder in pregnancy.
