DERGAON, July 24 - After the detection of 70 new positive cases and discharge of 55 patients, the number of active cases has increased to 315 and cumulative active cases increased to 1,141 in Golaghat district as on Friday.
Among the 70 new cases, 49 were detected by RT-PCR while 21 were detected at (RAT) Rapid Antigen Test.
With this the cumulative positive cases in the district has increased to 1141, out of which 826 were discharged and one died so far due to Covid and another died infected with Covid but with co-morbidities.
DIPRO in-charge Papu Gogoi said that among the new cases, 9 were detected from passengers, 12 from contact tracing while 49 from other sources.
