7 toppers bring glory to Pathsala town

PATACHARKUCHI, June 25 - A total seven students from two different institutions brough glory to Pathsala town in the HS Examination held this year with Abinash Kalita from Anundoram Borooah Academy, Pathsala securing the first position in the Science stream. A total of three students bagged top positions in the Science stream from Aundoram Borooah Academy. The other two students are � Nibir Deka, who secured the 4th position and Kunal Talukdar, who secured the 10th position.

Abinash�s dreams came true this time though he had missed the top position in the HSLC examination by a narrow margin two years back and was placed in the second place. This year in the HS Examination, 2020, he secured 486 marks. His marks are: English-94, MIL-98, Physics-99, Biology-97, Maths-85, and his percentage is 97.2%.

As soon as the results came out, despite heavy downpour people of various parts of the locality thronged Abinash Kalita�s residence situated at the Maripur Anandapur village of Bajali subdivision under Barpeta district. He appeared from Anundoram Borooah Academy, Pathsala. Abinash wants to be a physician in the future to serve the society.

Abinash�s father Nirmal Kalita, who is serving in a venture HS school named Bidyabhawan Nityanand, expressed his happiness over the result of his son and said that though there were financial problems in the family, he left no stone unturned to guide his son to be a good citizen.

Dr Ranjit Deka, the Rector of Anundoram Borooah Academy expressed his happiness over the results of the institution. When asked about the secrete behind the continuous success, he replied that the institution takes extreme care to clear concepts with proper planning. The collective effort of guardians, students and teachers is the key behind the success.

Nibir Deka, who secured the 4th position, is the son of Promod Deka, Assistant Teacher of Bangaon HS and Pranita Haloi Deka, a housewife of Pathsala town. His subject-wise marks are: English-88, MIL-96, Physics-99, Chemistry-98, Bio-98, Math-96. He got 95.8 per cent. He also wants to be a physician in the future.

Kunal Talukdar from the institution, who secured the 10th position, scored a total of 473 marks with 94.6 per cent. He got 86 in English, 93 in MIL, 98 in Physics, 98 in Chemistry, 98 in Biology and 87 in Mathematics. He is the son of Jintu Talukdar and Gitanjali Talukdar of Titka, Pathsala. His father is a businessman by profession. He also wants to be a physician in the future.

Meanwhile Krishna Kanta Junior College, one of the premier private institutions of Pathsala town, also shone in the HS Examination, 2020 with brilliant performances by the students. Three students got positions in the Art stream while one student bagged position in the HS Science stream. The students are Jusmita Goswami, Alismita Sarania, Chandrika Kalilta and Abhijit Choudhury. Jusmita Goswami bagged the 3rd position in the Arts stream with a total of 473 (94.6%) marks. She secured 91 in English, 97 in Assamese (MIL), 94 in Economics, 97 in Logic and Philosophy, 94 in Political Science, 85 in Education. She hails from Rangia Balisatra. She is the daughter of Ratneswar Goswami, a teacher by profession and Parulmani Goswami, a housewife. She wants to be an administrative officer in the future.

Alismita Sarania bagged the 8th position in HS Arts with the total marks of 468 (93.6%). She hails from Paschim Athiabari of Baksa district. She is the daughter of Laksheswari Sarania and Rima Sarania. She secured 90 in English, 95 in Assamese (MIL), 98 in Logic and Philosophy, 91 in Political Science, 94 in Education, 85 in Sanskrit. She wants to be a lecturer in the future and will carry out her further studies in the Cotton College.

Chandrika Kalita bagged the 10th position in HS Arts stream with a total of 468 (93.6%) marks. She hails from Goalpara and is the daughter of Bhupati Kalita and Pranita Das. Her father works in an insurance company and in the future she dreams of becoming a good administrative officer or a lecturer.

Abhijit Choudhury bagged the 10th position in HS Science stream with a total of 473 (94.6%) marks. He hails from Barbang Kacharibhitha near Pathsala town. He is the son of Bhabesh Choudhury, a teacher by profession and Pranita Choudhury. He secured 93 in English, 90 in Alternative English, 98 in Physics, 94 in Chemistry, 86 in Biology, 98 in Maths. He wants to be a scientist after carrying out his further studies in Delhi University.

Dhiraj Sarma, coordinator of the intuition expressed his happiness over the brilliant performance of the students, which is an outcome of collective work of students and teachers of the school.

Meanwhile, jubilant students and staff of both the institutions celebrated their victory by bursting crackers and distributing sweets. People from various walks of life visited the institutions and greeted the students for their performance.

Deputy Commissioner of Barpeta Munindra Sarma visited Pathsala to greet the students and wished them a bright future.
