IMPHAL, Sept 17 - Seven people, including a girl, were killed when a Tata Sumo passenger vehicle (AS-11-BC-7960) they were travelling in, skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Awangkhul Part II, about 92 km west of Imphal, along the NH-37 (Imphal-Silchar Road) under the Noney PS in Tamenglong district on Wednesday.
According to reports reaching here, the ill-fated vehicle with 11 passengers on board was heading towards Imphal from Jiribam when the driver lost control. Six passengers died on the spot, while another succumbed to his injuries later.
