GUWAHATI, Oct 3 - Altogether seven candidates today filed nomination for posts of president, vice president and general secretary of the Asam Sahitya Sabha.
According to a statement, for the post of president Dr Basanta Kumar Goswami, Prahlad Tasha, Dr Karabi Deka Hazarika and Suryakanta Hazarika have filed nomination papers.
For the post of vice president Dr Basanta Kumar Sarma and for the post of general secretary Harendra Kalita and Jadab Chandra Sarma have filed nomination, a statement issued by member of the election committee Bijon Kumar Mahajan said.
The election committee will also accept nomination papers for these three posts on October 4 from 11 am to 2 pm.
