SILCHAR, Sept 7 - Cachar Police arrested seven persons today for being involved in Teer gambling here.
SP Rakesh Roushan informed that based on secret information, police conducted raids in various places like Fatak Bazar, Ahram Road, Rongpur and registered three cases in this regard.
The arrested persons have been identified as Sibu Dey, Idriah Ali, Pradip Sarma, Saurav Pal, Manna Lal Baidya, Gopal Chandra Das and Montu Das. Also, cash worth Rs 2,300 and other instruments of betting were recovered from their possession.
�We are keeping a close vigil on the foul play and no guilty will be spared,� the SP said.
