DIPHU, Feb 28 - The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) observed the 69th death anniversary of Semson Sing Ingti here on Tuesday with various programmes. The death anniversary observation of the founder of the then Mikir Hills District and now Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council started with garlanding of statue of Semson Sing Ingti at Semson Sing Ingti memorial parks (old and new), Diphu at 7:30 am.
A prayer meeting was also organised at 8:30 am where Geeta path, Bible reading, Guru Granth Sahim, Quran, Kirtan path, Lakhimon prayer and Karbi bhajan etc., were performed. At 9:30 am, brief lectures on the life and times of Semson Sing Ingti were delivered by the dignitaries.
Besides, a poem recitation programme on Semson Sing Ingti was organised where old and upcoming poets participated.
