ITANAGAR, May 23 � In continuation with its drive to deport immigrants without valid ILP (Inner Line Permit), the City Police here has detected 68 persons from Itanagar, Naharlagun and Nirjuli areas in Arunachal Pradesh.
The persons without ILP were arrested yesterday and after being produced before the magistrate they were sent back to their respective places through Banderdewa check gate, City SP Seju P Kuruvilla said today.
So far a total of 256 ILP defaulters have been deported from the State capital since the launch of a special drive on May 20 last, Kuruvilla said. � PTI
