DIPHU, Nov 28 - The 66th death anniversary of Khorsing Terang, the first Chief Executive Member (CEM) of erstwhile Mikir Hill district and present KAAC was observed on Friday at both the new and old Khorsing Terang memorial parks. Tributes were paid at the Khorsing Terang Memorial Park, Diphu and garlands were offered at his statue.
An all-religious prayer meeting was also held. A multilingual poem on Khorsing Terang was recited on the occasion. The Khorsing Terang Memorial Park at Diphu, both old and the new, were illuminated in the evening.
Tuliram Ronghang, CEM, KAAC paid tributes to Khorsing Terang and appealed to all to be united for the cause of peace, tranquillity and progress.
Meanwhile, Diphu Sahitya Sabha also observed the 66th death anniversary of Khorsing Terang at Rangchina Bhawan, regional office, Asam Sahitya Sabha, Diphu. Various programmes were also organized on the occasion.
