60 new COVID-19 cases found in Arunachal

ITANAGAR, Aug 4 - Arunachal Pradesh registered 60 new COVID-19 positive cases on Monday, taking its tally of confirmed cases to 1,758.

The State also saw the release of 67 COVID-19 patients during the day. With this, the total number of discharged cases has risen to 1,063, while the active cases stand at 692. There have also been three fatalities, a bulletin issued by the State Directorate of Health Services here last night stated.

Of the 60 new cases, 14 cases have been reported from East Siang, 13 from Namsai, nine from Changlang and six cases have been registered in Lower Siang. While the Itanagar Capital Complex and East Kameng recorded five cases each, three cases each came from Papum Pare and West Siang. West Kameng and Longding reported one case each.

As many as 56 are asymptomatic and four are symptomatic cases, according to the bulletin. Among the recoveries, the Itanagar Capital Complex took the lead with 45, followed by Lohit (7), Upper Siang (6) and Papum Pare (five). One case each was released in Changlang, Lower Dibang Valley, Kamle and Lower Siang districts.
