6 NNPGs hold talks with Ravi

DIMAPUR, Dec 13 - A 15-member delegation of working committee of six Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) led by its convener N Kitovi Zhimomi held the second round of talks with Government of India�s Interlocutor for Naga talks RN Ravi in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Sources said the Working Committee tabled their agendas at the meeting which was still going on at the time of filing this report. No further details could be obtained.

The 15-member delegation include co-conveners � FGN Kedallo, Zhopra Vero; secretary NNC (parent body), V Nagi; NPGN/NNC (NA) ato kilonser, Hozheto; president NSCN (R), Wangtin Naga; NNC/GDRN (NA) president, Kiumukam Yimchungru and GPRN/NSCN envoy, Alezo Venuh.

Government of India and the working committee of the six Naga groups officially began political dialogue on September 27. The maiden round of talks was held in New Delhi, where Ravi, the Centre�s interlocutor, met an 18-member delegation of the Working Committee led by its convener Zhimomi.

A press note from the media cell of the working committee after the first meeting informed that Ravi pointed out that the �moment was a historic one for both the Government of India and the Nagas as the effort was aimed towards resolving a seventy year-old political problem through dialogue.�

On December 9, the working committee held a consultative meeting with apex Naga civil society organisations to seek their views and suggestions here.
