6 long-distance trains cancelled

GUWAHATI, May 1 - In view of the severe Cyclone Fani over the East Coast, the Northeast Frontier Railway today announced cancellation of six long-distance trains.

The 12508 Silchar-Thiruvananthapuram Central Express, the 12514 Guwahati-Secunderabad Express and the 15929 Tambaram-Dibrugarh Express have been cancelled. These three trains were scheduled to depart tomorrow from their respective points of departure.

In addition, the 12507 Thiruvananthapuram-Silchar Central Express which was scheduled for May 7, the 12513 Secunderabad-Guwahati Express which was scheduled to depart on May 5 and the 15930 Dibrugarh-Tambaram Express which was scheduled for May 5 have also been cancelled.
