6 discharged in Mizoram

AIZAWL, June 29 - Mizoram reported no new COVID-19 case today, while five recovered patients were discharged, bringing the active cases down to 90.

All 30 samples tested at Lunglei district civil hospital�s Truenat lab on Sunday turned out negative.

Meanwhile, RT-PCR lab at Zoram Medical College in the state capital took rest for the first time in three months on Sunday after testing of samples collected from returnees was completed.

According to Health Minister Dr R Lalthangliana, more than 12, 000 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the State. He also said that around the same number of stranded people have returned to the State till date. The Health Minister, however, said that around 2,000 stranded people are yet to return to Mizoram.

Meanwhile, after a woman was discharged from Champhai district dedicated Covid Healthcare Centre at 11:20 am today, five more recovered patients were later discharged from Zoram Medical College here.

With this, Mizoram has 151 total cases of COVID-19, of which 90 are active cases and 61 are recovered cases.
