KALAIGAON, Sept 3 - The 59th three-day Bodo Sahitya Sabha session will be held at Khoirabari in Udalguri district from January 20 to 22 next.
A meeting of the reception committee was held at Khoirabari on September 1 at 11 am. Lwmsrao Daimari, EM of BTC and president of the reception committee presided over the meeting.
Floral tributes were paid to late Bihu Ram Boro, former secretary of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, also known as the �Bodo Iron Man� before the meeting. Bhisma Boro, secretary of the reception committee, in his inaugural speech, spoke on various organisational issues and requested people to offer cooperation for successful completion of the session.
Maheswar Boro, MLA of Kalaigaon LAC and working president of the reception committee; Jagadish Sarkar, EM of BTC and president of the finance sub-committee also spoke on the occasion and offered a few valuable suggestions.
An amount of Rs 2 crore will be spent for the three-day mega event. The meeting also decided to publish a multilingual souvenir with Bodo, Assamese, English, Nepali and Bengali sections.
