51 candidates debarred from sitting in exam at Hailakandi dist

HAILAKANDI, July 21 - Altogether 51 candidates including 8 examinees were debarred from sitting in the examination for obtaining unfair means in the ongoing Sanskrit and Pali (Provasikha Madhyama and Sastri) examinations in Hailakandi district till Friday.

Supervising Officer and In-charge Examinations, Debojit Dey caught red-handed the proxy examinees who were involved in malpractice in the examination halls under the Katlicherra Development Block of the district and handed them over to the police. Cases have been registered against them by the in-charge of the examinations at the Katlicherra Police Station, said an official press release.

Inspector of Schools, Hailakandi, Rajiv Kumar Jha along with Supervising Officer and Incharge Examinations, Debojit Dey caught red-handed 38 examinees who were resorting to unfair practices in three examination centres under Katlicherra Development Block on the first day of the examination on Tuesday. Of the 38 expelled, 13 are from GC RB Memorial High School, 18 from Charlmarsh Higher Secondary School and 7 from Katlicherra Girls� High School.

The examinations are being conducted at the main centre at Charlmars Higher Secondary School and two sub centres, GC RB Memorial High School and Katlicherra Girls� High School.

Altogether 1,087 examinees are appearing in the examinations in the district.
