GORESWAR, April 20 � In all, 50 progressive farmers hailing from several villages of No. 56 Kamalpur Legislative Assembly Constituency were felicitated with phoolam gamosa, japi and a citation each at a meeting held at Singarpara High School playground on April 16 under the aegis of Uttar Kamrup Krishibhumi Aru Paribesh Songrokshan Samiti.

The felicitation meeting was held under the direction of Hareswar Barman, veteran social activist and president of Uttar Kamrup Krishibhumi Aru Paribesh Songrokshan Samiti.

Earlier, Samiti general secretary Mrinal Sarma explained the objective of the function, which was participated in by Satyabrata Kalita, spokesperson of AGP, Kishore Bhatta, spokesperson of APC Samiti, Umar Rashid, secretary of Assam Badminton Santha and Abdul Mazid Saikia, transport officer, as distinguished guests. A Rongali Bihu programme was also held to mark the occasion.
