5 teams formed to identify indigenous landless families

GUWAHATI, Dec 31 - On the direction from the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Govt of Assam, Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (Metropolitan) VK Mittal has constituted five teams to carry out an identification drive of the indigenous landless families and for preparation and subsequent distribution of pattas thereof, on a mission mode simultaneously in different revenue circles of the district.

Accordingly, for Azara revenue circle the team will be headed by Bidyut Bikash Bhagawati, ADC. The team for Dispur revenue circle will be headed by Khitish Chandra Pegu, ADC. The third team constituted for Sonapur revenue circle is to be headed by ADC Ratul Pathak, while the team for Chandrapur revenue circle will be headed by ADC Ranjit Konwar and that for Guwahati revenue circle will be headed by Nabadeep Pathak ADC.

The teams will physically visit the areas to examine the �Kobula� petitions already received from the respective areas as per programme chalked out by the Deputy Commissioner Kamrup (Metro) for finalisation of the settlement process.

The detailed programme of these visits will be intimated for information of all concerned well in advance for convenience. The administration has urged all applicants to extend their full cooperation to the teams during their visits to the areas.
