GUWAHATI, Oct 28 - Paltan Bazar police today detained five of its staff for violating official discipline.
Senior police officials said that these five employees, including two homeguards, two drivers and a constable, carried out a drive in some areas of the city last night without having prior permission from the higher authority.
A source said some people also raised an allegation of extortion against them. But, no complaint has been filed yet.
