AIZAWL, June 5 - With five more persons, including two women, testing positive, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Mizoram has gone up to 21.
They were tested positive for novel coronavirus late on Thursday night, officials said. Four of them had returned from Delhi and one from Gujarat between May 28 and June 1.
While four of them have fever or cough, the remaining one is asymptomatic. Those with symptoms had already been admitted to the Zoram Medical College (and the fifth one was under institutional quarantine at Lunglei.
The new positive cases were among the 340 samples tested on Thursday. With this, the number of active cases in the State climbed to 21.
Mizoram�s first COVID-19 positive patient was discharged from hospital in April.
