5 more cases in Arunachal

ITANAGAR, June 2 - Five more COVID-19 cases were detected in Arunachal Pradesh today, increasing the State�s tally to 27. All the five new cases are asymptomatic.

The COVID-19 positive persons, who were in a quarantine facility, are being shifted to the COVID Care Centre, Chief Minister Pema Khandu stated in a tweet.

Four out of five cases have been reported from the Itanagar Capital region and one from Lohit district, State Surveillance Officer (IDSP) Dr Lobsang Jampa said. With this, the State�s active cases rose to 26. One earlier patient had already recovered, Dr Jampa added. On Monday, Arunachal Pradesh registered the highest single-day spike in novel coronavirus cases with 18 returnees from various parts of the country testing positive for COVID-19.
