IMPHAL, Sept 12 - Five militants were killed in an exchange of gunfire between the suspected NSCN (IM) and the CorCom at Makan village in Manipur near the Indo-Myanmar border today sources claimed.�
CorCom is an umbrella organisation of seven Manipur-based militant groups.
The incident took place when the suspected NSCN (IM) militants started indiscriminate firing at a group of militants of CorCom in the wee hours at the village killing five militants on the sport, sources added. Four assault rifles and some IEDs were also recovered from the slain militants.
