5 members to take oath today

GUWAHATI, Dec 14 - Five executive members, including Chief Executive Member and his deputy, of Bodoland Territorial Council will take oath tomorrow.

Governor Jagdish Mukhi had yesterday accepted the claim by the UPPL-BJP-GSP post-poll coalition towards formation of the new executive council to BTC with UPPL president Pramod Bodo as the new chief of BTC.

State minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma said both the chief and the deputy chief will be from UPPL. �Two members from UPPL, two from BJP and one from GSP will take oath tomorrow,� he said.

The UPPL had won 12 seats, BJP nine seats and Gana Suraksha Party (GSP) led by Kokrajhar MP Naba Kumar Sarania one out of 40 council seats. The Bodoland People�s Front (BPF) won 17 seats and the Congress one seat.

Meanwhile, the lone elected member from the Congress Sajal Kumar Singha, who won from the Srirampur constituency, today joined the BJP.
