5 injured after stone-pelting during KSU rally

SHILLONG, Feb 14 - A 73-year-old man and four others were injured at RR Colony here after they came under attack during a rally organised by the Khasi Students� Union (KSU) to celebrate the non-tabling of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in the Rajya Sabha.

The incident occurred on Wednesday when the KSU took out a �victory rally� to celebrate the occasion. During the rally, stones were allegedly pelted and people on the roadside were assaulted.

Some of the injured have been identified as Parbindra Das (73), Bhanbetush Das (51) and Sheikh Farman (36). They have been shifted to hospital. However, nobody has been arrested for the attack so far.
