5 hurt in Imphal blast

IMPHAL, Feb 18 � At least five persons including three policemen and two women were injured in a bomb explosion at Masjid Road betel nut leaves vendors junction here this afternoon. The blast took place when some policemen reportedly tried to open an abandoned school bag containing the bomb at Masjid Road junction around 4.10 pm today, sources said. The injured persons have been sent to Rims hospital at Lamphelpat for treatment, report added. Hospital sources said the condition of one of the police constable is serious.
