5 from Lakhimpur shine in HSLC exam

NORTH LAKHIMPUR, June 6 - Five students brought laurels to Lakhimpur district in the High School Leaving Certificate Examination, the results of which were declared on Saturday.

Debisma Priya Borah of Gyanjyoti Academy, Narayanpur secured the 3rd position, Ranuj Jyoti Baruah, also of Gyanjyoti Academy, Narayanpur, secured the 6th position, Avilasha Dutta of St Mary�s School, North Lakhimpur got the 7th position, Simran Borah of Brookfield School, North Lakhimpur got the 8th position and Diwiz Bikash of St Mary�s School, North Lakhimpur secured the 10th position.

Debisma secured 591 marks (98.5 per cent) out of 600, Ranuj secured 588 (98 per cent), Avilasha got 587 (97.83 per cent), Simran secured 586 (97.67 per cent), and Diwiz got 584 (97.33 per cent).

Speaking to the press, Debisma said she aspires to study medicine in the future. Ranuj said he did not follow any routine for studying but was regular and in future wishes to join the Indian Administrative Service.
