5 Bangladeshi nationals held

BADARPUR, Sept 10 - Five Bangladeshi nationals were held at the Badarpur Railway Station on Saturday by the Badarpur Railway Police, from the Agartala-Sealdah Kanchanjunga Express, immediately after it arrived at the Badarpur Railway Station.

Acting on specific information, the CRPF and railway police posted at the railway station conducted a raid on a particular coach of the train and arrested the Bangladeshi nationals.

The arrested persons have been identified as Balaram Das, Hridoy Das, Shimul Das, Primal Chandra Das and Alorani Das.

Official sources while sharing information with this correspondent said that all the Bangladeshi nationals had entered India through Tripura-Bangla border last month by paying around Rs 2,500 to a person. �The Bangladeshi nationals generally enter India through the porous Indo-Bangla border which needs to be sealed in the greater interest of the region,� the sources said.
