SIVASAGAR, July 28 - Forty-nine villages are still reeling under the current wave of flood in Sivasagar district � 43 villages fall under Sivasagar Revenue Circle and 6 villages fall under Demow Revenue Circle.
According to the government flood report today, 1,453 hectares of crop land in the district is now under flood water and 25,080 people have been affected.
Four medical teams and three veterinary teams have been pressed into service in the flood-affected regions of Demow and Sivasagar.
Due to very heavy rainfall during the last 48 hours, water levels of the Desung and Darika rivers are rising.
KNA Motors, Bhatiapar representing Ashok Leyland and Hinduja Group, distributed relief materials in Rupohimukh, among 220 families.
