452 train passengers arrive Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH, May 18 - Altogether 452 passengers coming from different parts of the country reached Dibrugarh Railway Station in Banipur here on Monday in two trains.

Among the passengers, 38 were from Arunachal Pradesh and rest 162 from Dibrugarh district, while the highest number of passengers were from Tinsukia district (179).

The other passengers belongs to Dhemaji (40), (Lakhimpur (20), Charaideo (2), Sivasagar (5), Nagaon (1) and Majuli (5) districts. All the passengers went through preliminary health screening at respective health counters set up at the station campus and were later shifted to their respective areas.

Out of 162 passengers from the district, 19 have been kept in hospital quarantine, two in home quarantine, one each in CISF (Mohanbari) Station, CISF Station (Duliajan) and Air Force Station, Chabua. All the other Dibrugarh passengers have been kept under quarantine in different hotels and lodges in the town.

Four more passengers who arrived on Monday by bus have been sent for quarantine at Hotel Comfort here.
