43 new cases in Meghalaya

SHILLONG, Aug 29 - Meghalaya today reported 43 new COVID-19 cases while 77 patients have recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours.

With large number of recoveries, the number of cured patients in the State has gone up to 1,035. The number of active cases today stands at 1,238 compared to 1,272 on Friday.

Of the new cases, 26 are from East Khasi Hills district, 15 from West Garo Hills district and two from South Garo Hills.

The total number of COVID-19 cases detected in the State is 2,283 and 10 persons have died of the infection.
