JORHAT, July 22 - As many as 43 Covid-19 positive cases were detected in Jorhat district on Wednesday thereby raising the total number of positive cases to 1107.
Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Roshni A Korati informed on Wednesday evening that 43 new positive cases were detected in the district today, out of which 39 persons were without travel history.
Among the 43 positive patients, 25 were from Jorhat town out of which 23 did not have travel history.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that the number of active cases in the district stood at 694 today.
Majuli Covid-19 cases rises to 45: Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 cases in Majuli increased to 45 today.
A Majuli district administration official informed that with four new positive cases found on Wednesday, the number of cases climbed up to 45.
The official said that presently 22 positive patients were undergoing treatment in the Brahmaputra island.
