SILCHAR, Sept 24 - Four persons were sent to jail on Sunday after they were found guilty of stripping and assaulting a tribal woman in Karimganj district.
According to Karimganj SP Gaurav Upadhyay, the four accused identified as Rilinei, Zongngirhoi, Tineili and Hoimanting who were picked up along with 15 others from Magura village on Saturday were found to be directly involved. They were produced before the court and sent to jail.
The SP also informed that 15 others were allowed to go after their statements were recorded.
