GUWAHATI, May 26 - Four repatriation flights are expected to land at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport here between May 27 and June 5.
The flights scheduled to arrive in the coming days are from Ukraine, Moscow, Kuwait and the Philippines, said Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna.
Talking to The Assam Tribune, Sanjay Krishna said the flights would carry people stranded in those countries, mostly students. �It is part of the pan-India initiative as per which the flights would be directed to Guwahati as well,� the Chief Secretary added.
However, the exact timing of the flights is still not known.
Meanwhile, the second day of resumption of passenger flights saw 13 arrivals and departures, mainly connecting Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Silchar and Imphal till this evening.
A total of 1,409 passengers arrived in Guwahati during the course of the day, while 724 departed for different destinations. The frequency of the flights is likely to increase from tomorrow, subject to weather conditions.
