SHILLONG, Sept 25 - Meghalaya Government has approved the creation of four new blocks taking the total blocks in the State to 43.
The approved four new blocks include Mawlai in East Khasi Hills district, Umroi (Ri-Bhoi district), Demdema (West Garo Hills) and Rerapara (South West Garo Hills).
However, the Government�s approval of these four blocks has renewed the demand for creation of a block in Namdong in Jaintia Hills.
