4 NE boys top CRPF constable training

GUWAHATI, April 25 - As many as 275 constables took pledge in a colourful and impressive passing out parade held at the Recruit Training Centre of Central Reserve Police Force, Latur, a press release received here stated.

Dr Sunil Baliram Gaikwad, Member of Parliament, Latur, graced the occasion and took the salute. He also inspected the parade. While addressing the newly passed out constables of the CRPF, he congratulated them on becoming part of the largest paramilitary force in the world. He lauded the role being played by the force in maintenance of law and order and internal security, especially in the Naxal-affected areas of the country.

It is worth mentioning that all four top awardees belong to Northeast region, while three of them are from Assam.

Rekash Debbarama was awarded with the best All-Rounder Trophy. He is from Barkhathal village in West Tripura. Babul Gogoi was awarded with the trophy for best in Outdoor who is from Gharphalisa village at Jorhat. Trophy for best in Indoor was bagged by Ringkhang Brahma who hails from West Gumargaon village in Chirang district. The trophy for best firing was awarded to Bijoy Chetry of Balijan village, Nepaligaon in Digboi. All of them belong to Group Centre, Guwahati.

The constables who passed out on Sunday have undergone 44 weeks of training, including jungle survival, unarmed combat, firing etc.

Brigadier SK Sharma, YSM, DIG Training, CRPF, New Delhi, was also present on the occasion and advised the new constables to constantly upgrade their professional skills and maintain utmost discipline.
