DIMAPUR, Oct 2 - The works on four-laning of National Highway 29 from Dimapur to Kohima will begin after October 15.
This was informed at a coordination meeting of departments of PWD (NH), Power and Police, Chief Secretary, DGP, GM, NHIDCL and contractors on 4-laning of the highway.
Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang, who chaired the meeting, directed the department of Power to immediately begin the process of shifting of the power utilities in the affected areas. The CM also asked the departments concerned to work out alternative stretches for inter and intra-State traffic wherever possible, a press release said.
The contractors informed that they were given three years time to complete the works but the CM requested them that they should try to complete the works earlier.
