MANGALDAI, Feb 15 � Two motorcyclists � Mumtaz Ali (35) and Abdul Awal (36) � of Rangagarhapather village under Dalgaon PS succumbed to injuries at the Civil Hospital here following a head-on collision with a sand-laden truck at Jhakuapara around 11 am today.
Our Tezpur Correspondent adds: Two persons � Anowar Hussain and Ratan Biswas � died on the spot at Bihaguri near Sagali Ahatal area when the SUV in which they were travelling to Guwahati, hit a bridge around 11.30pm on Friday.
In another road mishap at Mansiri under Chariduar PS in Sonitpur district, a Nagaon-bound speeding minibus overturned on NH 15 in the morning today following which, according to police, eight passengers were seriously injured. The injured were rushed to the Kanaklata Civil Hospital.
