SILCHAR, Sept 17 - In a major catch, police arrested three persons involved in the kidnapping of a person from Ramkrishna Nagar under Karimganj district on Saturday. The kidnapped person has been safely sent home by police.
Karimganj SP Gaurav Upadhyay told The Assam Tribune today, �the accused who had abducted a person on September 14 and demanded Rs 3 lakh and a Pulsar motorcycle as ransom, were arrested from Vidyanagar area. They have been identified as Abdul Munim, Shajan Ahmed and Nazrul Islam.�
He was quick to inform that another accomplice Anwar Ali, the mastermind of the kidnapping incident, was arrested as well. A Mahindra Bolero car which was used by the accused persons to abduct the victim was also seized, the SP added.
