4 held for Rajiv Bhawan blast

GUWAHATI, March 23 � In a major breakthrough, City Police has arrested two ULFA cadres, besides two linkmen from Pan Bazar area in connection with the Rajiv Bhawan blast case and recovered Bangladeshi SIM cards, cash worth three thousand rupees, five handsets and international debit cards from their possession.

According to police sources, the two ULFA cadres have been identified as Biju Sonowal alias Raju Rajkhowa and Jayanta Moran of Kakopathar in Tinsukia district. Biju Sonwal is a Bangaldesh-trained cadre.

The two linkmen have also been identified as Dikush Moran and Deepok Hajong of West Garo Hills.

A senior police official, when asked, informed that the arrested are being questioned and primary investigation indicated that a couple of them were supposed to leave for Bangladesh.

"These cadres, basically acts like carriers and Biju Sonowal, according to the inputs, was involved in the Rajiv Bhawan blast case," the official stated.
