GUWAHATI, March 22 - The police have arrested four persons in connection with the attack on television journalist Chakrapani Parashar in the Ganeshguri area here on Thursday. The accused were today produced before the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kamrup (Metro), which remanded them to judicial custody. Parashar was attacked inside a restaurant by its owner, Syed Ali Ahmed, and three other employees � Nitin Sarma, Niraj Ahmed and Bhabesh Das � last night.
The police said that the accused were in an inebriated state and attacked Chakrapani with a sharp weapon.
He was rushed to the hospital. They reportedly had an argument with the journalist when he was capturing some video footage in the morning hours.
