4 from Jorhat secure positions in HS exam

JORHAT, June 25 - Four candidates from Jorhat district were among the top 10 positions in the HS exams.

Two students from Crescent Academy, Jorhat, got ranks in Arts stream. Bhargov Phukan was among the three candidates securing the 6th position. He got letter marks in six subjects, scoring a total of 470 marks.

Subhakankhi Attreya, also of Crescent Academy, was among the six candidates who secured the 10th rank in Arts stream. She too got letter marks in six subjects with 466 total marks.

Apollo Kashyap of Pragjyotika Junior College, Titabar, was among the three candidates to secure the 9th position in Arts stream. With letter marks in six subjects, his total was 467.

In Commerce stream, Ankur Jyoti Bhuyan of Jagannath Barooah College, Jorhat, bagged the 5th position. He got letter marks in five subjects and his total was 460.

Bimal Barah, Principal of Jagannath Barooah College, said Ankur Jyoti Bhuyan securing the 5th rank was a matter of joy as the college since 2011 has missed out on positions in any of the three streams falling short by 4-5 marks.
